WHY WORRY?

There are so many things to be worked up about; yourself, spouse, children, parents, siblings, in-laws, finance, friends, education or when you look at the evils happening in the world today; the killings, kidnappings, recession and corruption. But is it enough to weigh you down? The question is WHY WORRY?

Personally, there are moments I unconsciously snap and later find myself drowning in the pool of anxiety and worries and when I’m back to consciousness, I just ask myself ” After worrying, what solution were you able to proffer? The answer is none! So, WHY WORRY?

You know, God has not promised us that we won’t go through trials and tribulations, but He already gave us the assurance of walking with us in the midst of any storm that comes our way and His name Emmanuel, which means “God with us” is a proof.

He didn’t take His time to create us and leave us to become empty vessels but instead He created us for a very distinct purpose which we also have to find by staying connected to Him and His word.

I just want you to know today that you are not alone. John 14:16 says, “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever.” The Holy Spirit is always ready to comfort, teach, lead, instruct, counsel and direct you; and also, your advocate.

It is the devil’s desire to see you weighed down by heavy burdens, he doesn’t want you to be happy. He’s always creating millions of excuses why you should be weary and heavy laden, constantly trying to remind you that you have too many problems to worry about.

I know it’s not easy but honestly you have to stand on your feet and let him know with confidence that you are bigger than whatever storm that comes your way.

Let the Lord be your peace. Romans 15:13 “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”

Let the devil be scared of you……..of course, he is expected to be and he will definitely flee! James 4:7 “Submit to God, resist the devil and he shall flee”.

So, cast your burden upon God because he so much cares for you and loves you. 1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you”.

Never forget that you are very important to Him. The fact that you sleep and wake up each day is a big proof of his excess and unconditional love for you.
