Seeking God’s Kingdom

What are you seeking? What’s your priority? Are you seeking after perishable things?
Are you desperately desiring things just so that your present situation can change?
What does your future look like?
Is it blurry or clear?
Jesus told us in His word that our priority should be the kingdom of God.
Our daily pursuit should not only be material things that will perish but the kingdom of God because it is eternal.
Matthew 6:33
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
A lot of people are seeking fulfilment in material things such as money, connections, job, relationships, children, a house, car, travel destination, jewelry, clothes, fame and an endless list of desires without giving a thought to the place of God in their lives.

Many have neglected the kingdom of God, which is God’s desire to reach man and meet man’s need spiritually, emotionally and physically through selflessness, character, empathy, compassion, mercy and love.
Jesus tells us in this passage that material things like money, house, fame, job will fade.

All He wants from us is to do His own will first.
what is God’s will?
God’s will is to show his love through diverse means to a world suffering from sin, shame and oppression.

Believers should not be anxious concerning their material needs. Those who do not know God might be anxious, but believers should trust in God and put the interests of his kingdom first.

They are under his rule and they should trust that as day to day difficulties arise, he will provide the answer .

People, however, get into bondage to material things sometimes because of greed, oftentimes because they worry too much about having enough money to look after themselves.

Everyday of our lives, we must always seek Him.
Luke 12:30-31
“For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

God is interested in helping the needy, saving the outcast, providing homes for the orphans and homeless.
