What’s your view on giving? Have you ever wondered why God gave His only begotten Son to the world? Why do you give? Do you give and expect to be given back in return? How sincere or faithful are you with your giving?

It’s very important to take note of some important things in our walk with God, so that some things won’t be done in vain.
What is giving? According to Wikipedia, Giving refers to:
Gift, the transfer of something without the expectation of receiving something in return.
Generosity, the habit of giving freely without expecting anything in return.
Charity (practice), the giving of help to those in need, who are not related to the giver.
I believe this definitions has done enough justice to it.
Giving should be done willingly and in truth, our practical example is God, He gave Jesus to the world for the atonement of our sins.
John 3:16 ; For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Why should you give?
-You should give because you love:- yes love prompted Jesus to give His only son and because the Bible says as He is, so you are.
- You should give because it is a commandment; Luke 6:38, ‘Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal, it shall be measured to you again.’
- You should give as a means of preaching the gospel.
Who should you give to? - The work of God.
- The ministers of God.
- The needy.
- Give to anyone according to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
It’s important to note that when giving, your motive must be right, you must give from a sincere heart.
