It’s so amazing to know that we are truly and dearly loved by The Father. We’ve not been created to be left alone to fight our battles.
He, God, has given us the assurance of His name Emmanuel, “God with us” by enriching us with powerful weapons to use against the plans of the enemy for our destruction.
Similarly,God’s precious Holy Spirit dwells inside of every believer who has accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour to guide and lead in His way.
Below are the top five weapons we have been blessed with:
God’s Word

Ps.119.105 By your words I can see where I’m going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path. (MSB)
This is the most powerful weapon God has given unto us. The Word of God keeps us on track, guides us and leads us.
Looking at the story of the temptation of Jesus Christ by satan, Jesus Christ resisted satan by making him understand that “man shall not live by bread alone but by the word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4).
God expects us to consume His Word just as we consume our food.
The devil never gets tired of tempting us because he is doomed for eternal damnation and wants a lot of people to go down with him.
The moment you realise evil trying to manifest around you, make sure you immerse yourself in God’s Word just like Jesus did.
We also need to understand that it is not enough to know God’s Word, we have to be doers of God’s word.
We need to represent Him and His kingdom and always remember that “Christianity is not just a religion, it’s a way of life”.
Praise

Ps.67.5 – Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You.
Ps.67.6 – Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us.
God being the King of the universe deserves to be praised, exalted, acknowledged, worshipped and glorified.
We’ve been made to understand that God desires praises so much so as to reciprocate with blessings.
The devil detests it when we exalt God because he wants all the praise ascribed to him which is impossible.
So we should inculcate the habit of praising God, it make God’s presence dwell and move mightly in our midst which results to the devil fleeing because darkness cannot stand light.
Obedience

Exod.19.5 Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the nations of the earth; for all the earth belongs to me. (NLT)
Obedience is the hallmark of our salvation. As believers, we’ve been called to a life of obedience.
Obedience to the laws of God prevents us from living our lives amis. It is the last thing the enemy wants from the children of God.
The devil is aware that our obedience paves way for the fulfilment of God’s purposes for our lives and helps us make impacts for the Kingdom of Heaven.
Although we are saved by Grace through the redemptive work of the cross and by the blood of Jesus; It is our obedience that sets us apart as authentic children of God.
This in turn will allow God to reveal himself to us and through us, thereby activating God’s power to work in our lives.
Faith

“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you shall move mountains”, Matthew 17:20.
Keep in mind that the devil wants you to be confused, to drown and be lost in life.
He understands that believing results to recieving, so the devil is ready to block every beautiful package God has got in stock for you by making you weary and faithless.
The devil makes you doubt everything true about God.
The devil also undermines your capacity to be successful at anything making you lose faith in yourself.
To avoid all these, you need to affirm your beliefs by confessing or vocalizing your beliefs till it sinks in.
In addition you need saying no to defeat by walking closely to God and letting Him guide your steps
Prayer and Fasting

Prayer and Fasting is a very powerful weapon God has given us to fight against the enemy. It breaks us from every chains and shackles and most especially paralyzes, breaks and destroys the plans of the enemy in the spiritual realm.
It helps us communicate with God and keeps us connected to Him.
Exhibiting the act of fasting regularly would break the stronghold of the enemy and keep them at bay.
So pray without ceasing! 1 Thessalonians 5:16.
